The British designed and built sports car that can also become a speed boat, may be on its way to the States where it is likely to be built in Detroit and sold nationwide.
The car named Aquada is built by UK based company Gibbs Technology, who have put together a team of 70 engineers who have run up a total of one million man hours into the project which has cost so far an estimated £100 ($200) million getting to this stage.

They have built some prototype vehicles, one of which actually crossed the English Channel to France in record time crushing the existing speed of 9 miles per hour.

The Aquada is a three seat vehicle, which can reach an estimated 110 miles per hour on the open road and reach an estimated 33 miles per hour on both fresh and salt water; the transition from road car to aqua car can be done in a matter of seconds. The Aquada has an estimated price tag of around £42,500 ($85,000), which is a reasonable price, if you bought a sports car and a speed boat separately.
At the moment the company is looking for locations in the US for manufacturing, offices and technical centers, but the desired place to have an Aquada base I the States would be Detroit, the countries home of the car, and an apt place for a new take on the automobile.
