The “M10” is the descendant of the M1 super car, and with the pulling power of the 5.0 liter V10 engine, this car is likely to give the Audi, Porsche and Mercedes super cars a good run for their money, with a top speed of around 215 mph.

The car will have a front engine layout, with rear wheel drive, just how a good sports car should be laid out.
The difference the “Z” and the “M” is really the difference between sports and luxury, the “Z” being the luxury version of the car, with all the trappings including the folding metal roof etc, but the “M” will be fixed roof only, again the this car is a proper sports car, with a mix of carbon fiber and magnesium.

The “M10” is likely to be a great inclusion into the BMW stable with their sporting interests including Formula One these days, they need to be able to offer a car that will exploit their sporting heritage, this car will do that, and being fixed head, front engine and rear wheel drive car they have come up an exciting car that shows that BMW are spreading out the marketplace once again to cover areas that they covered a while back.
Expect to see this super car on the roads sometime in 2009.
