Chinese industry may soon be regarded as the saviors of many troubled companies throughout the world, like a new found sugar daddy with limitless amounts of cash, we have watched as Nanjing Auto quickly absorbed MG Rover, but even then we had doubts as to their intentions, yet the Longbridge plant is now open and producing the great MG TF sports car.

Seeing how easy it is was for them to assimilate the MG Rover group, Nanjing Auto are supposed to be looking to revive another old established, yet out of business car maker, Austin Healey.
The brand name which is only the viable asset of Austin Healey is owned by Healey Automobile Consultants Ltd, and HFI Automotive Ltd, are already in talks with Nanjing Auto with regards to building another Austin Healey car, according to Nanjing Auto they have an agreement with the owners of the brand, which puts and end to a long running dispute over ownership of Austin Healey.

Nanjing Autos now with this agreement are ready to move ahead and explore the possibility of creating a new Austin Healey sports car, which will be made at the Longbridge plant in the UK, where the MG TF is already being assembled. The two brands will run along side of each other creating a very exciting sports car company producing a British sports car built in Britain.
