Mercedes HQ must be rubbing their hands with joy as the now the new C Class saloon and possibly the station wagon will be getting the ANG treatment, the cars have been busy burning up the miles around the famous Nurburgring track and road for a while now and these guys are so smart that the cars transmit live data right back to the tech people in Stuttgart in order for them to analyze how the cars are doing, and who said that Formula One does nothing for the motor industry.

The new C Class cars will have the AMG 6.3 liter V8 engine, which as we all know is superb and capable of producing around 520 bhp, whether this sort of power output will be allowed to pull the C Class along is another matter, possibly the power will be reduced down maybe to even 400 bhp, even so this is some serious power.

This is a real threat to fellow German car makers BMW whose M3 has been looking to clean up in this market, but now they have competition in the form of this Mercedes where there is now contest really.

The obvious launch place for the C Class is going to be the Frankfurt Motor Show which is in September, as the cars are clearly in the later stages of development, this has to be the place.
