Could this be true? We have heard so much about the Porsche Panamera. It has almost become a legend already, without a wheel being turned, or so we think. There have been rumors of a concept car being driven around and of course the inevitable spy shots.

It is believed that the planned production will include the use of the current 4.5 liter engine from the Cayenne, or even the Audi V10 from the Carrera GT. The assembly is said to taking place in the plants in Leipzig, the VW paint shop in Hanover will do the paint job.

So it does look like this car is about to be a reality, and what a fantastic reality that will be. There has not really been a car of this style since the absolutely brilliant Porsche 928. Looking at the drawings, the Panamera does have a little bit of the 928 in there. What do you think?

If this car resembles the images that we have seen it will becomes one of those cars that rewrites history. Porsche will have in their target the likes of Aston Martin, Mercedes and cars of a similar nature.

Of course there are going to be some Porsche fans that are going to be totally against this new car, but Porsche really needs this and I think the market needs it too.
