Until now if you were going to talk about an all electric sports car, the first car to come to mind would be the fantastic Tesla, but could this car now have a rival from across the Atlantic? Well the people behind Lightning GT believe so.
The Lightning car company is aiming to become the first all electric sports car company in the UK and from there they will compete with the likes of Tesla.
The first Lightning car will be the imaginatively named the Lightning GT, which is a car that has the looks of a bygone era, when cars were built to order by the very rich and powerful, think Marcos, TVR and E type Jaguar and this is the car that you would up with.
What drives to car is a state of the art Nano Safe Battery Power, which has been coupled with a superior Hi-Pa Drive electric motor system, which will produce a fantastic level of performance, they estimate that the Lightning GT will be able to reach around the 130 mph level, which is quite staggering from an electric car that has no emissions and can take the car from zero to sixty mph in a mere four seconds thanks to the power output of more than 700 bhp.
