After 2011 Toyota will no longer be selling the Prius, Why? Because they intend to create another Toyota brand similar to the high end Lexus brand that was split off to concentrate on selling to their specific market, Prius will follow the same format; the new car company will remain part of the Toyota motor company but will be independent too.

Prius is set to become the benchmark for hybrid motors, they will be solely responsible for the design and development of the hybrid range of cars, this will include up to three different models which will be able to enter the small, medium and large car markets, but instead of just being another brand of a large auto company they will be able to stand alone and compete with all other brands including Toyota for the hearts and minds of the car buying public.

It is believed that a second car will be launch around 2009 followed by the third around a year later in 2010, this will herald the dawn of the Prius motor company a year later.
